Edward Madej
Edward Madej is an alumnus of the
Academy
of Mining
and Metallurgy in Cracow
and
the Warsaw University of Technology.
He’s been living in New York
since 1989.
Edward is fascinated by
digital technology, and digital photography has been his passion
almost since it first became commercially
available. Even though he often applies his
technical skills to his images, Edward also
appreciates the artistic side of photography.
Many years of experience with Adobe
Photoshop allow him to realize his creative ideas.
Even though he does not limit himself to
specific subjects, landscape takes the first place
in his digital archives of more than one
hundred thousand images.
Edward's work is most
often inspired by the city of New York,
its architecture and its culture. He travels quite
a lot and has visited some of the most beautiful places in the
United States. In addition to
Europe
and North America, he’s traveled to
Asia
and Africa. His work has been
featured in magazines such as
Digital Camera and
Digital Photographer, as well as in numerous Polish-American media. Edward has been a
member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals
since
its inception in 1998. He is also a member of the
Polish-American
Photographic Club of which he became
the president in 2005. (Photo

“As an engineer by profession, I’m fascinated by digital
photography, which is a product of human intelligence.
However, as a photographer, I love nature, which is completely
free from the digital process. Photographing nature
digitally allows me to co-exist in these two fascinating but
very different worlds.”
